This wine is close to perfection, and I can certainly see this hitting the 100 points in ten years. With a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Cabernet Franc, aged for 20 months in new French oak. The wine has explosive aromas of blackberries, blackcurrants, dark cherries, dark violets and tar. The palate was rich, lush and full-bodied, with beautifully integrated silky, velvety tannins, with characteristics of black fruit compote, cassis, fresh florals, fresh herbs along with dusty potting soil. This wine is both nimble and deeply complex, with an extremely sophisticated and prolonged length.
