The 2024 Estate Chardonnay is drawn from two adjacent blocks on the estate vineyard, capturing both terroirs: grey gravelly loam over clay, and red loam over gravel. Pale gold in the glass, with a nose that unfolds patiently — stone fruit and citrus lead the way, layered with alluring notes of hazelnut, crème brûlée, marzipan, and a distinctive chalky minerality that speaks directly to the soils below. The palate is complex and round, with the creaminess and full mouthfeel that come from 100% malolactic fermentation in French oak, yet the wine never loses its Tasmanian tension: a linear line of citrus-fresh acidity runs from front to back, keeping everything precise, integrated, and beautifully composed.
